Monza recently faced a significant incident at the U-Power Stadium, where the maxiscreen collapsed due to a severe thunderstorm. This event occurred on June 10 and attracted attention from media around the football world. Mauro Baldissoni, CEO of Monza Calcio, expressed his regret over the incident, emphasizing that the stadium is currently under maintenance. The weather event was described as particularly intense, with wind gusts reaching 95 km/h. The structure of the maxiscreen, measuring 10×10 meters, gave way due to the wind pressure, collapsing onto the stands below. Fortunately, there were no spectators present at the time of the incident. Baldissoni stated that meetings will be organized with engineers to analyze the causes of the collapse and prevent future incidents. The U-Power Stadium, inaugurated in 1988, has faced criticism for its functionality but remains an important symbol for the Monza club.
